Day 32:
Today I headed out to the field with 2 of the MBERC (Marine Biology & Ecology Research Centre) technicians. Fortunately for us, the sun was mostly shining (at least until near the end of my field work) and there were light winds, which makes a change from many of the times we have had to swim around in the sea at Salcombe. The only drawback today was the uber cold sea temperatures (about 8ÂșC). Talk about instant ice cream headache!!  It just makes your hands ache with pain and takes your breath away when you submerge your head in the water, but at least we have drysuits to mostly stay dry.
