Day 177:
For a half day field trip we went to the Baredine Cave about 1 hour or so NE of Rovinj, Croatia. This is an eyeless, colourless creature that only lives deep in caves.
Day 172:
Some of the random things I see while walking to uni... This billboard is for Royal Mail, but because it has a poodle on it, it made me think of my sister.
Day 171:
Yep, this is how I spent the first day of summer... photography diseased seagrass in the lab and finishing my first LICOR experiment (CO2 stuff). My life rocks at times...
Day 170:
As my experiment was drawing to a close before I departed for Croatia, I had to figure out the best way to photograph my seagrass for image analysis at a later date.
Photography session in the lab with Andy, my PhD supervisor. It's amazing what a beaker of water, syringe, coloured paper, camera, tripod and off-camera flash can accomplish!
Day 156:
Continuing with my quest to complete the SW Coast Path as well as do as many car-free walks this summer as possible, this took Nicolas, Jennie and I out to Praa Sands leaving us to walk back to Penzance to catch the train back to Plymouth. This was along the way heading west before reaching St Michael's Bay. Such a lovely stretch of coastline!
I've decided to join in the fun by creating this blog that will contain 1 or maybe 2 photos for every day in 2010. Given the number of photos that I already take, it shouldn't be too difficult to do. In fact, it might be more difficult in selecting a single photo than taking photos. ;-) However, I may not get around to posting them straight away, so if you don't see something for each day, give me some time. :-) I promise to deliver!
BTW, if you click on the photos, you can see a higher resolution version. :-)
